Happy Thursday everyone🙌
Today's devlog introduces the first world's boss, Flower Hopper; a giant flower with...legs🦵?
I began with some sketching out some basic shape ideas with an emphasis on the flower silhouette and boss mechanics.
Then I did a pixel art rendering of what Flower Hopper will look like. I wanted to make sure to keep the color palette of the enemies like it.
With the detailed image finished, I did a sketch of the boss room. It's enclosed between two large trees with a larger jungle visible in the distance and the hanging tree foliage above.
And lastly, I programmed the Flower Hopper boss, their level, and their boss room for testing
